Drake Over Video

Before I begin I would like to say that this is going to be the last post I make about Drake for the week. I love talking about him, but I'm trying to maintain diversity in my blog. I know everyone may not like him as much as I do, and I know that some people may not want read about him all the time. If you have any suggestions on what you would enjoy reading please feel free to comment. Thank You.

I was so excited when I got the news that Drake had a video for his song "Over". I fell in love with this song the second I heard it. Hearing that there was a video for it was thrilling, because I knew just like the song it would have a special meaning to it. As I was watching the video i'll admit I was a bit confused, but I was expecting to feel this way. It was the exact same feeling I had when I first watched the "Best I Ever Had" video. I'm sure if you've seen the video and know the song you would understand. I've learned several differnt things about Drake by listening to alot of his music and watching him on TV. This is what helped me analyze the entire video.

After I watched the video for the first time for pure enjoyment only, I watched it a second time but paid more attention to what I was listening to instead of what I was watching. Remember, it is still important to pay a little bit of attention to what your watching while your listening, but listening is still more important . This helps me grasp what the song is about, and I get a better feel for what I'm suppose to be looking for. Its just like taking a test, you read the questions first and then read the paragraph. That way you already know what your looking for or at least have an idea, and it saves time.

My third time watching the video was the most exciting, because now I get to test how smart I am. This is when I put everything together and try to make sense of it. I noticed that the video starts off with him sitting in a room by himself. Then he turns into fire, but it looks more like some sort of explosion, and in the explosion are images of him and two girls. There are images of various things projected onto the walls of the room, and of course each image represents something (I'm not going to go into detail about each image just watch the video at the bottom). Then he goes into this dramatic performance. The video is like this for the most part until it switches up in the second verse. This is when they show the two girls for the first time since we got a quick glimpse of them at the very beginning. One girl is a seductive dancer and the other is beautiful young lady.

He's sitting in the room by himself because he's thinking, thinking about the fast life he's living and the many things that are in-stored for him down the road. When his body was turned into fire and showed the images of the two girls , I think the fire represents his explosive new life, and the two girls were either a foreshadowing of what to expect or it was apart of whatever he was thinking about. The images projected onto the wall are just clues about whats going through his head at that moment. For example: the road thats moving fast which represents the fast life he's living and where its going to lead him in the end. I'll let you guys try to figure out what the other images mean. Remember when I said to pay attention to what your listening to while your watching, but make sure you give listening more attention than you do watching. I think the dramatic performance is a way to enhance the whole meaning of the song and video. It's him expressing himself and this new life that he's experiencing. He's having a hard time picking between the two girls at the very end. I think he wants to be with the beautiful young girl, but the seductive dancer is not an easy cookie to turn down. Who he picks remains a mystery.

Overall the video was "interesting". There was a high level of creative thinking put into the making of this video. I must admit this video kept my mind quite busy. I knew trying to figure it out would require some "outside the box"thinking. Drake never fails to give his fans the best. He's a true genius, and I know I say this all the time but it's true. He's truly great and this is only the beginning of the beginning of his career.

P.S
Drake if your reading this I would looove to hang out with you one day. ^_^

Remember you can always put it on full screen ;)

Drake On Ustream.

What a pleasant surprise it was to see Drizzy Drake having a one on one session with his fans. It was quite shocking to watch him broadcast himself on Ustream because he never does this. I always wanted him to do this, because it helps me learn more about the real you and not the "you" I see on TV. I learnt that he has a not great, but awesome sense of humor. He's sweet and adorable, his attitude is mostly positive, and he is everything I imagined him to be. He gets an A+ for being such a great guy.

It was saddening to watch him leave because I knew that he probably won't do this again for another 2 or 3 years(sarcasm). However, he did explain why he won't do it all the time. He explained that if he were on Ustream alot then it won't make the broadcast as special as if he was not on there as much. The reason for this is his fans would enjoy the moment more watching him because they know they probably won't see him again for another 2 or 3 years(sarcasm). After he explained his reasoning for not being on there all the time, I thought to myself "What a smart guy".

I'm not sure if he was doing this on purpose, but he kept showing his viewers his "Thank Me Later" album to market it. If he was intentionally doing this on the sly side, then I say "Drake...you are a true genius". I say this because it's kind of like a teaser, especially since he's making his fans wait two months longer for his long anticipated debut album. The longer he makes his fans wait, the more they want it. Then it makes others who never cared too much about it speculate; they may begin to think that maybe this album is worth my time and money if he's making everyone wait such a long time to hear it. It makes it look like he's putting time and effort into this album, so theres no way that it will disappoint.

Drake also treated his viewers with some of his rap skills by giving them a taste of his freestyle tittled "Free Weezy". It was enjoyable for the most, and gave you quite a laugh. Before he began rapping he read that someone said "Don't Read It From Your Blackberry". He laughs after reading this. Most Drake fans or haters would understand why it was humor attached to that statement.

Towards the end of the broadcast, he asked all his viewers to give him their number so he can give them a call. Sadly I was not one of the lucky ones, but maybe next time. But I must say it was depressing listening to him talk to all those girls, telling them that he loves them while I watch wishing it was me. I didn't think my heart could take it anymore. But on the bright side he showed how great of a guy he is as always, and how much he loves and cares about his fans.

Before signing off he said "Ustream its been super real, I love all yall, thank you. June 15th Thank Me Later, I go by the name of Drizzy Drake (pulls lighter out, lights blunt, smokes) Free Weezy and all that, and uhh we'll meet again soon. I love yall (salutes)".

As we all know Dwayne "Lil Wayne" Carter was sent to prison Monday March 8, 2010. He was sentenced to a whole year but may be released in 8 months for good behavior. There was recently a website put up called weezythanxyou.com which is a way for Lil Wayne to keep in touch with his fans. He talks about sports for the most part and whatever else is on his mind. He humbly thanks his fans for the letters that they write him during his time in prison. He expresses how much he appreciates the love and support that so many people are giving him. Keeping his fans update with everything through a website was a great idea. I know I will be giving that website frequent visits. Its nice to know that he's keeping a positive attitude about everything, and not letting this his current situation get the best of him. Several people may consider Lil Wayne as a negative role model, and I do agree in some cases that he may not be the best person to look up to. Even though a person may show so many bad aspects about them, I like to over look the bad and see the good. Once you find the goodness, the badness doesn't exist any more. Like they say "Good conquers all". Many people fail to see the positive side of Lil Wayne, but I've seen it all along. Just by him staying positive about his situation says a lot about him. He committed a crime and he accepted full responsibly for his actions. I can guarantee he won't make the same mistake twice. I've seen many rappers go to jail for the same mistakes they made in their past, but Lil Wayne is not like that. He knows how to live and learn. On the Weezy Thanks You website he goes on to say "When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure". The words of a man who is misunderstood.

Law is mind without reason. .................I'll return

"The Game" RETURNS!!!!

This is no rumor folks, this is the real deal. The show "The Game" is in fact returning to the scene. Many of its loyal viewers have long anticipated this very moment. It is quite interesting that it will no longer be apart of the CWTV family, but it will be joining the BET family instead. I could never understand why the CW Network would cancel such a great show. There was never a dull episode nor a dull moment in the show. My patience would wear thin having to wait every week just to catch the next episode; it was mind boggling, and to top things off the show was only 30 minutes. Then the moment I heard that the show was being cancelled I didn't know what to do. It was an unpleasant surprise. Many people who are not loyal viewers of the show cannot begin to grasp the feeling I had when this news darkened my day. Although I had no choice but to accept the fact that the only thing left of "The Game" were reruns, I never stopped having hope that one day my favorite show would be back to grace not only my television set, but yours as well. At last this moment has arrived, the moment where I can appreciate my TV a little more, the moment where I can smile thinking "I'm glad I don't have that kind of drama in my life", but most importantly the moment where I can finally say "Gosh!, I can't wait until next week when they show a brand new episode of "The Game".

Haiti's Earthquake

I made this video a few days after the earthquake in Haiti. It touched my heart when I saw how those people lost what little they had. Can you imagine having to go through what their going through. Haiti is not the richest country in the world, and they cannot afford to rebuild their country on their own. Thats why they need everyones help. Put a smile on a child's face and give others hope. Watch the video and I hope you enjoy.

Justin Bieber-The New Sensation!

Its seems like many young girls today are having the "Bieber Fever". The Canadian singer Justin Bieber came onto the scene and immediately captured his audience with his charming face and voice. He never fails to be the talk of the town, especially in twitter town. Justin Bieber cannot go a entire day without being a trending topic on twitter. Most of the tweets consist of young girls expressing their love for him. His fans are very loyal to him, and imagining them ever turning their backs on him is next to impossible. This shows how much he has impacted their young lives. Justin Bieber is not only loved by young girls, but it appears that adults love him to. Most parents would enjoy the thought of their daughters dating him. He has a clean cut image and appears to be a nice young man. His album "My World 2.0" can be found for sale in a catalog for children. Justin Bieber has invaded our world, and holds it in the palm of he hands. Why do you think his album is called "My World"? Not only is he a talented singer, but it would seem like he has a few dance moves up his sleeve. Watching the video for his song "Baby" he shows off some of those hot "Bieber" moves. Justin Bieber is not only whats hot now, but he's also whats hot for the future. Lets just say he's the next "Justin Biber", I'm sure his "Beliebers" would agree.

P.S
Did I mention that he's only 16.

Drake Changes Release Date AGAIN!!!

Rapper Aubrey "Drake" Graham Moves his debut album "Thank Me Later" to June 15, 2010. "How many times is he going to do this", is what I asked myself when I first heard the news. It was quite nerve recking for the most part, but then I put some thought into it and said to myself "Hey I guess you can't rush perfection". This is a highly anticipated album and I hope it does not disappoint me or any body else who is anxiously waiting for it. Drake is very talented at what he does. He carefully thinks about every decision he makes when it comes to furthering his career. He strives to be the best he can be, and its obvious he does not settle for anything less than perfect. Many people may question his motives asking themselves "What is the purpose of him moving his release date so many times"? or "Why doesn't he just release the album already"? I honestly believe that he does not want to disappoint his fans. He knows that we expect the absolute best from him and he will strive to make sure that not only his fans are happy, but he is happy with it also. If you don't like something then what makes you think others will like it. I believe that he is a very intelligent guy and he knows what he is doing. "Thank Me Later" is worth the wait, and I said it before and I will say it again, "You can't rush perfection".
